Depart from Çanakkale and head towards Troy, where we will explore the ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the new, award-winning Troy Museum. We continue on to the old village of Behramkale, a picturesque settlement with stone houses and narrow streets that offer a glimpse into traditional Turkish village life. You will have time to explore the village, take in the beautiful scenery, and perhaps enjoy a cup of Turkish tea or coffee at a local café. From Behramkale, we head south to Kuşadası.

Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey, and at the carpet village, we learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value.

Visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, a landmark engineering feat that regulates the Nile and created Lake Nasser, then continue by boat to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and set on Agilkia Island, carefully relocated stone by stone to protect it from flooding. Later, embark your Nile cruise and settle into life on the river.

The overland transfer from Luxor to Hurghada is included and takes approximately 5 hours. Returning to Cairo by flight is available as an optional upgrade (around 45 minutes, approximately USD 60 per person). In Cairo, explore the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar—one of the Middle East’s oldest markets—where a maze of lanterns, spices, jewellery, and traditional crafts creates the perfect setting for souvenir shopping and soaking up the atmosphere of Old Cairo.

Day 19WednesdayCairo Breakfast Down

Enjoy a free morning to unwind, explore at your own pace, or join optional activities such as museum visits, shopping, or a Nile dinner cruise. At the appropriate time, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your Egyptian journey to a smooth and memorable close.

Notes

  1. Minimum 2 participants. Maximum 20 participants for the Turkey segment. The Egypt segment is operated on a private basis.
  2. This program combines a small group Comfort Tour in Turkey with a private touring experience in Egypt, offering a balance of social travel and personalised guiding.
  3. Minimum age is 8. There is no maximum age; however, participants should have a reasonable level of fitness to manage walking, stairs, and travel days. Health documentation may be requested if necessary.
  4. Single travellers are required to pay a Single Supplement and will have a private hotel room throughout the tour.
  5. This tour is rated as Moderate. It includes walking at archaeological sites, stairs, and several travel days. It is suitable for travellers with average mobility and stamina.
  6. For greater comfort, an optional morning flight between Cappadocia and Istanbul may be arranged at an additional cost (instead of overland travel). Please contact us for current pricing.
  7. Accommodation, Nile cruise schedules, and sightseeing order may be adjusted when operationally necessary. Any changes will maintain or exceed the planned service standard.
  8. Many hotels and Nile cruise vessels host compulsory gala dinners on 24 December and 31 December. These charges apply whether or not guests attend and will be advised at the time of booking.
  9. Fez Travel reserves the right to make operational changes to accommodation, itinerary flow, or transport arrangements when required for safety, logistics, or service quality.
