Q. What is the best time of year to take a tour?
A. We have several tours running year-round, departing every Saturday, as Turkey’s mild climate makes it a great destination in any season. Since our tours primarily focus on culture and history rather than summer beach holidays, it might be a great option to travel anytime between November and March, to get the opportunity of not only the climate but also the discounted prices. Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) are ideal for comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds. Summer (July–August) is great for coastal tours like Gulet cruises but can be very hot.
Q. Are the tours suitable for solo travellers?
A. Yes, our tours are perfectly suitable for solo travellers! We welcome independent explorers who want to experience Turkey’s rich culture and history in a friendly group setting.
Important Note: Single travelers are obliged to book a single room and will have the hotel room entirely to themselves. We do not offer the option of shared rooms with other travellers for their privacy and comfort.
Q. What type of transportation is used during the tour?
A. We use modern, air-conditioned minibuses or coaches, depending on group size. For some tours, we also include domestic flights. Our Gulet cruises use traditional wooden sailing boats.
Q. How much free time is available for personal exploration?
A. Our tours are designed to help you see and experience as much as possible within the tour's duration, which can range from 5 to 19 days. Most days are filled with guided excursions to ensure you explore the key highlights included in the itinerary.
However, there are some opportunities for free time:
Our tours are designed to offer a perfect balance between structured sightseeing and personal exploration, ensuring you make the most of your time in Turkey!
Q. What currency should I bring, and are credit cards widely accepted?
A. The currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TRY). Credit cards are widely accepted in cities and tourist areas, but it's good to carry some cash for small shops, markets, or rural areas. Most accepted currencies in cash are Euro and US Dollar.
Q. Will I need a visa to enter Turkey?
A. It depends on your nationality. Some travelers can enter visa-free, while others need an e-Visa. You can check visa requirements on the official Turkish government website (www.evisa.gov.tr).
Q. Can I request vegetarian or gluten-free meals?
A. Yes, we can accommodate dietary requirements. Please inform us in advance, and we will coordinate with hotels.
Q. Are the hotels centrally located?
A. Yes, we select boutique hotels that are centrally located or offer easy access to key sites.
Q. Will I have access to Wi-Fi in the hotels?
A. Most hotels provide free Wi-Fi, though speeds may vary, especially in remote areas.
Q. Can I upgrade my hotel accommodations?
A. For our group tours, it is not possible to change hotels as the group stays together throughout the journey. However, if you prefer a more luxurious experience, room upgrades may be possible at the designated hotel for an additional cost, subject to availability.
If you’re looking for a completely customized travel experience with upgraded hotels, we recommend our private tailor-made tours. These tours allow you to select premium accommodations that best suit your preferences and travel style.
Feel free to contact us for more details on private tour options or room upgrades!
Q. What kind of clothing should I pack for different seasons?
A. Spring & Autumn: Light layers, a jacket, and comfortable walking shoes.
Summer: Light, breathable clothing, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Winter: Warm clothing, especially for Eastern Turkey (Kars, Van, etc.), where temperatures drop significantly.
Q. How much walking is involved in the tour?
A. Our tours include moderate walking, especially in historic sites like Ephesus and Cappadocia, so comfortable shoes are essential.
Q. Is there a luggage limit for the tour?
A. We recommend one checked bag and one carry-on per person. For domestic flights, luggage limits may apply (usually 20-25 kg).
Q. Are airport transfers available if I arrive before the tour starts?
A. Yes! Most of our tours include complimentary arrival and departure airport transfers. You can check if they are included by checking the "Inclusions" section on each tour's page.

However, for optional tours in Istanbul, we highly recommend booking in advance because you won’t meet your guide until the official tour departure date. If you’re interested in additional experiences in Istanbul, such as a Bosphorus cruise, Whirling Dervishes show, or guided museum tours, you can:
