Depart from Istanbul and travel to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Begin your exploration at the UNESCO-listed village of Cumalıkızık, where you can enjoy an optional traditional village breakfast surrounded by beautifully preserved Ottoman houses and narrow cobblestone streets. Continue to Tophane Hill to admire panoramic views over Bursa and visit the tombs of Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi alongside the historic Clock Tower. Explore the magnificent Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami), renowned for its impressive Ottoman architecture, twenty domes, and elegant calligraphy, before wandering through the historic bazaar district and Koza Han, the city’s famous silk market, where you can relax with a traditional Turkish tea in the peaceful courtyard.
