Private Gallipoli and Troy Tour

This private 2-day tour begins and ends in Istanbul, Turkey. The first day takes you to the ancient city of Troy, known for the legendary stories of Helen and Paris, as well as the epic battles depicted in Homer's The Iliad, including the iconic Trojan Horse. The second day you'll explore the key battlefields of the ANZAC sector from the World War I Gallipoli campaign. Accommodation options range from 3 to 5-star hotels.

Itinerary

Day 1Istanbul - Troy Tour Down

Pick up between 6:15 am - 6:45 am from your hotel in the old city of Istanbul or Taksim, we then depart for an afternoon tour of Troy. Crossing the Dardanelles on the new 1915 Canakkale Bridge, the world's longest suspension bridge. After visiting the newly built Troy Museum, we step back in time today as we visit Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan Horse from the times of beautiful Helen, the Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince.

Day 2Gallipoli Battlefields - Istanbul Breakfast Down

Gallipoli is one of the most touching places in Turkey. Today, we visit the Gallipoli World War I Battlefields, including Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, Ari Burnu Cemetery, Johnston's Jolly (where you'll visit original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels), 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek. With your own guide and driver, you may visit rarely seen areas which are not included on the standard coach tour. After our Gallipoli tour we drive for Istanbul where our tour finishes.

1. Group Size: Minimum Group Size of 1. Maximum Group Size of 20.
2. Age: Minimum Age of 0. Whilst there is no Maximum Age set it is assumed the customer is fit enough to take part in the activity or tour. Health documents may be requested.
3. This tour is an 'On Request' tour. That means that we need to confirm availability before confirming the booking.
4. This tour is available on any day. Be aware that some sites are closed on some days.
